Rachel Adelson, Class of 1973. Delighted to announce my new book, "Staying Power: Age-Proof Your Home for Comfort, Safety and Style" (Sage Tree Publishing, 2013). This lively, practical handbook can help my fellow Boomers help their aging parents 'age in place' while preventing costly, life-changing falls and fires -- and making everything safer, more comfortable and easy to use. There's even a discussion of how to talk about this ticklish topic, and dealing with denial (ours and theirs). Easy to follow, with useful checklists, shopping lists and extensive resources. More information is available at www.stayingpowerbook.com. The book can be ordered online through amazon, barnesandnoble and other e-sellers, in print or e-book form. Would love feedback from fellow Science alums! (firstname.lastname@example.org)
