The New York Times profiles "Girls Who Code," an organization that seeks to help young women move into the field of Computer Science.

Prominent in the piece is Nikita Rau, age 17, a Bronx Science Junior and a graduate of Girls Who CodeRau said that seeing women programmers on field trips taught her that anyone could be a coder.

At big companies like Google and small ones like Foursquare, she was inspired by seeing successful women and engineering problems scrawled on white boards — not to mention "the amazing food.”
