HELP BUILD THE ONLINE ALUMNI COMMUNITY

Online/Social Media Community Manager
The Alumni Association is exploring the possibility of hiring an alum with significant social media experience to manage the Alumni Association's online presence and communications across this web site, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other mainstream social networking sites.  The ideal candidate would be energetic, dedicated, trustworthy; an excellent writer; technology savvy; and share a passion for building the Bronx Science alumni community.   This may be a part-time or full-time position.

Help Design the Alumni Web Site
If you are creative, have good web and graphic design experience, and are interested in volunteering to help the Alumni Association, we could use your assistance to improve the design of the alumni web site.

Manage an Online Group
Interested in managing your class year's online community?  Already manage a Facebook or Yahoo group?  Consider volunteering to manage a group on this web site for your class year, a geographic area (e.g. Southern California), or a professional area of interest (e.g. Finance).

Plan your reunion
Become a reunion coordinator to help plan your big bash!  See who else has already volunteered, and find out how to get involved.

Plan an event
Alumni programming includes social, educational and professional events.  If you're interested in planning a social outing, an speaker/panel on a newsworthy topic, or put together a career networking event, we are interested in working with you.   In addition, the Alumni Association's Board of Trustees has a programming committee responsible for organizing alumni activities and events.  If you're interested in joining this committee, or planning an event in your area, please get in touch with us.


HELP OUT CURRENT STUDENTS

Share your college experience as a recent alum
Every year recent Science alumni come back to the school to share their experience in applying to college, picking the right school, and making the transition from Science.  For juniors and seniors applying to college and preparing for graduation, this is incredibly valuable.  Let us know if you're interested in helping them understand what it's like to attend college, and share what you wish you had known while in high school.

Offer a job, internship, community service or research opportunity
Students are always looking for part-time and full-time experiences over the summer and during the school year.  Whether it's to explore a particular industry, get hands-on work experience, give back to the community, or research a topic of interest, Science students are passionate, hard-working and eager to learn.

Come speak to the school about your professional and life experiences
You've lived an incredible life, full of professional and personal success.  Why not inspire current students with your experience and wisdom?  Whether you have worked in the arts, medicine, politics or business, students are hungry to learn from Science alumni, and explore new opportunities and possibilities.


JOIN THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Join the Alumni Association Board of Trustees / Endowment Fund Board of Directors
The Alumni Association is run by a 15-member Board of Trustees and seeks alumni who are passionate about building the alumni community and giving back to the school.  Each June the Alumni Association elects five members to the Board for three-year terms.  The Board meets in person four times a year in New York City.

The Endowment Fund is run by a separate 13-member Board of Directors and seeks alumni interested in building the school's endowment.
